Commercial Bookbinding CompanyCommercial Bookbinding Company was founded in Cleveland in 1905 by Alfred Cahen. In 1929 Cahen purchased a Bible-publishing firm called World Syndicate Company and merged the two firms into World Syndicate Publishing Company. In 1940 the firm was renamed World Publishing Company. See 'Dictionary of Literary Biography' 46 (1986), pp. 386-390, and see the FOB entry for World Publishing Company, which indicates that the company name disappeared during the 1970s, when ownership of the firm was divided between Times-Mirror and William Collins.2008
