Scope and Contents

The Sanskrit Collection comprises a collection of Nepalese manuscripts and printed items on paper, all written in Devanāgarī script. The items are arranged in two series: I. Lithographs, undated, and II. Manuscripts, 1724-1924 CE, undated.
Descriptive entries of the items in the following container list include title, author, subject, extent, dimensions, publication details, and date, if available. Three indexes (author, title, and subject) are also provided.
All information was compiled from two separate documents that originally described the collection, one entitled “Lithographs,” the other called “Manuscripts.” The Manuscripts document also included Sanskrit transcriptions for the beginning and ending of the texts as well as the colophon, which are not reproduced here, but are available on request.
