Abstract: The Garnett Family Archive contains the papers of Richard Garnett, Keeper of Printed Books in the British Museum; his daughter, diarist Olive Garnett; his son, playwright Edward Garnett; translator Constance Garnett, wife of Edward; their son, novelist David Garnett; and artist Rachel Alice Marshall Garnett, first wife of David. The manuscripts and correspondence of this literary family, together with family papers, total more than 10,000 pages. Books from the library of David Garnett are also present.
