Abstract: Includes mainly letters written and received by the American actress, novelist, playwright, and suffragist Elizabeth Robins, who wrote under the pseudonym C. E. Raimond. The correspondence relates to Robins’ acting, theatrical writing, and literary output, as well as her activities on behalf of women’s suffrage in England and the United States. Among her correspondents are Henry James, Laurence Housman, Annie Kenney, Dame Christabel Pankhurst, Emmeline Pankhurt, Baroness Emmeline Pethick Lawrence, Dame Ethel Mary Smyth, H. G. Wells, and Virginia Woolf.
