The Robinson Jeffers Literary File consists of 2,510 photographs (1,361 loose prints and safety negatives, 1,132 nitrate negatives, 16 tintypes, and 1 ambrotype). Featured are snapshots of the Jeffers family, travel scenes in Great Britain and Europe, Tor House in California, various literary celebrities of Jeffers’ day, photographs of some works of art, and stills from Jeffers-related theatrical productions. Of note is a portrait of Jeffers by Edward Weston (970:0004:0001). The tintypes and ambrotype are of Jeffers’ maternal (Tuttle family) relatives. An index at the end of this guide lists identified photographers whose work is featured in this file.
