The Norman Douglas Literary File consists of 92 pictures (91 photographs and photomechanical prints; 1 drawing), including numerous portraits of Douglas. Most of the items are contained in 2 albums compiled by Nancy Cunard, who is also depicted in some of the photographs. An index at the end of this guide lists photographers whose work is featured in this file. Further descriptions of some items are available in a card catalog in the repository.
