Scope and Contents
The T. S. Eliot Literary File consists of 30 photographs, most of which are images of Eliot. About half were taken during his visit to the University of Texas at Austin in April 1958. There are also images of Valerie Fletcher, Lady Ottoline Morrell, A. N. Whitehead, and various other people. An index at the end of this guide lists photographers whose work is featured in this file. Further descriptions of some items are available in a card catalog in the repository.This file forms a part of the Literary File Collection, which is comprised of photographs and albums withdrawn from the libraries and/or papers of literary figures, and generally include portraits and images collected by or of those figures.
