The Edward Gordon Craig Literary File consists of 136 photographs, the majority of which are portraits of various people, including Craig throughout his life, Ellen Terry (his mother), E. W. Godwin (his father), Elena Meo, Edward and Nelly Craig (his children with Meo), Max Beerbohm, Isadora Duncan, Lord Howard de Walden, Henry Irving, Vsevolod Meyerhold, and Constantin Stanislavsky. There are also views of Craig's residences in Italy and France and of the Arena Goldoni in Florence, Italy, which Craig used for his theater school. Some of the photographs are copy prints apparently associated with the biography of Craig written by his son Edward Carrick. An index at the end of this guide lists photographers whose work is featured in this file.
The Ransom Center also holds manuscript materials and artwork by Edward Gordon Craig.
