Kait Dorsky, 2016
The John Beevers Literary File consists of 425 photographs, 444 black and white
negatives, 8 color transparencies, 10 color slides, and 4 albums with 460
photographic prints, the majority of which are images of Beevers, his parents, his
first wife Marjorie Pollard Beevers, their daughter Susan, and the Beevers’ family
home
The photographs are organized by images of Beevers and his family in rough chronological order, and then by other identified and unidentified people and places. Descriptions of images were derived by the archivist based on inscriptions on print versos, where available.
This file forms a part of the Literary Files photography collection, which is comprised of photographs and albums withdrawn from the libraries and/or papers of literary figures and businesses, and generally include portraits and images taken or collected by and/or of those people and businesses.
Additional materials by and about Beevers are located in the Ransom Center's John Leonard Beevers Papers.
