Novo Drive-In |
DESCRIPTION |
|
Exterior view of the Novo Drive-In which may have been located near North Beach in Corpus Christi, Texas. A man in a white apron stands at the serving window of a hexagonal-shaped drive-up food stand. The business does not appear in any of the city directories from 1933 to 1935. Since the itinerant photographer did make at least one side trip while in Corpus Christi (to Refugio and Sinton), it is possible that this picture was made en route to or from the city. This food stand sold milk, coffee, and chili burgers that were "good with any drink." Note the 1931 Chrysler with the well for a spare tire on the running board. |
