TITLE   Unidentified cafe
DESCRIPTION   Interior view of an unidentified cafe in Corpus Christi, Texas. Dark counters with affixed white stools line the left and back walls. Table seating is at right. A man and woman, both in waitstaff attire, and another woman in a dark print dress stand behind the counter. This cafe sold a roast beef and potato dinner for 25¢, a hot roast beef sandwich for 20¢, and fried chicken for 25¢. Note the sign on the wall advertising a $4 meal ticket which would buy $5.50 worth of food. This was a common practice during the Depression.
