A fifth man, also in white apron, stands behind a display of Sioux Bee honey. On top of the bins are loaves of Fair-Maid sliced bread and bags of wafer cookies. This store was owned by Mr. Echols. Jett's sold Taystee, Fair-Maid, and Butter-Krust breads, Canada Dry, Embree's giant cherry rhubarbs, Colonial butter pretzels, Admiration coffee, and Blackhawk bacon. As was customary at this time, the produce was kept unrefrigerated. |
