TITLE   Waters' Grocery and Market
DESCRIPTION   Interior view of Waters' Grocery and Market in Corpus Christi, Texas. Two men, one in a white apron, stand behind a Frigidaire deli case filled with meats and butter. In front of the counter are a pile of wooden shopping baskets and a glass display case full of candy bars, gum, and aspirin. This store, owned by Lester L. Waters, was self-service as indicated by the stack of wooden baskets. They sold one-pound packages of dried fruit for 15¢, Libby products, Decker sausage, Luna soap, and Admiration coffee. Note the meat hooks behind the men. A customer can be seen at far right.
