DESCRIPTION   Interior view of an unidentified grocery [McKay's?] located in or around Corpus Christi, Texas. A man in a dark sweater and white apron stands at a check out counter. In front of him is a display of tobacco products, including Chesterfield, Lucky Strike, Camel, Twenty Grand, and Spud cigarettes, along with Crema cigars. A scale and a box of eggs sit on the counter. The walls are lined with shelves full of canned and jarred goods. This grocery was self-service as indicated by the turnstile and bin of baskets. The store sold eggs for 15¢ per dozen, cigarettes for 18¢, and Grisham's pasteurized milk. This grocery is also pictured in negative 976:0021:0168.
