DESCRIPTION   Interior view of an unidentified grocery store located in or around Corpus Christi. A man in a dark trousers and an ill-fitting jacket stands behind a wooden counter that appears to run the width of the store. Canned goods on shelves line the walls. This business was not a self-service store. The store sold Palmolive soap, 5¢; National Oats, 5¢; Nestlé coffee; Hershey's cocoa; Campbell's soup; 50-pound burlap bags of sugar; Dittlinger's hen scratch; Red Ranger cigars, two for 5¢; Union tobacco, and prophet pens or pencils. Note the well-worn counter and the neatly stacked canned goods resembling pyramids.
