The Economy furniture store |
DESCRIPTION |
|
Interior view of the Economy in Corpus Christi, Texas. A man in a three-piece suit stands in the center of a store filled with home furnishings. A second man, in a three-piece suit and hat, stands at the rear of the store. This furniture store was owned by the Braslau family who owned several other stores including a dry goods business (see negative 976:0021:0041). The Economy sold simple dining room furniture as well as elaborately carved dining room sets and ornate table lamps. Note the rolls of linoleum standing on end and the throw rugs hanging from the posts. |
