DESCRIPTION   Interior view of the Hausler-Kilian Cigar Company located at 1109 Leopard Street in Corpus Christi, Texas. Three men stand and a fourth sits behind a large counter with "wholesale" printed on the front of it. On the counter are boxes of Americus and Kite tobacco and a Burroughs calculator. A young man in a light-colored jacket holds a box of open cigars as if presenting them to the photographer. The man at left in dark-rimmed glasses is Wesley "Wes" Hausler (1899-1982). Hausler and his brother Alton E. Hausler (1900-1997), both native Texans of Swiss-German heritage, were the Hausler partners of this company. Wes ran the Corpus Christi branch, and Alton ran the Austin and San Antonio branches. The man with a cigarette in his mouth is a Mr. Duckworth. Directly behind the men is a shelving unit filled with boxes of candy and cigarettes. Large stacked cardboard boxes fill the rear of the store. Hausler-Kilian sold a variety of tobacco products and candy.
