DESCRIPTION   Interior view of the Tax Billing Department located in the old 1914 Nueces County Courthouse in Corpus Christi, Texas. The office contains at least typing desks, three of which have easels holding large ledgers propped open. Two women and one man sit at desks, another man and woman stand at the back of the office. The man seated is Beverly Estes, and the woman seated at right is Elyse McManus. The man standing is Marcus Russell, a salesman for either Bowen's print shop or Nueces Printing Company. Mr. Russell is also pictured in negative 976:0021:0344. Note the stacked radiators on the ceiling. The old courthouse was the only building in Corpus Christi with radiators placed as such.
