Job 30, Pélleas and Mélisande, 1916-1920, 1940, 1950s
The opera Pélleas and Mélisande was adapted by Claude Debussy from a play by Maurice Maeterlinck. Bel Geddes designed the costumes, scenes, and lighting. No record of a performance exists. Geddes revisited Pélleas as a prospect for a movie in the 1940s and 1950s.
