Issued in three volumes with a suppliment to volume 3 that contains 56 photographic reproductions of illustrations, including several of Herstmonceaux (spelled Hurstmonceaux throughout the book), and one illustrated portrait of Hare, by Hills & Saunders (British, active 1860s-1920s). The supplementary volume lists a different publication date of 1876. Plate titles follow.
