Description:

The Fannie Hurst Literary File consists of 896 images (631 loose prints, 264 prints in 2 albums, and a photographic reproduction of a caricature, partially adhered to a piece of glass). Many of the loose prints are of Hurst alone, with various people, including her husband, Jacques S. Danielson, and/or with various pets. There are also numerous portraits of celebrities of Hurst’s day, many of which were autographed presentations to her.

NOTE: Hurst Album 1 is in very poor condition and requires special handling. It documents Hurst’s travels with her husband in Russia, Venice, France, Berlin, Oberammergau, Havana, and Lake Tahoe; and also contains several portraits of Hurst (including 3 sketches), some with her various pets, as well as candid photographs with her human friends.
