Description:

The collection consists of photographs and manuscript materials by Bill Wright (American, born 1933). In addition to fourteen loose prints, there are contact sheets and manuscript materials related to Wright's life and his various book projects including The Tiguas: Pueblo Indians of Texas (El Paso, Tex.: Texas Western Press, 1993), The Texas Kickapoo: Keepers of Tradition (El Paso, Tex.: Texas Western Press, 1996), Portraits from the Desert: Bill Wright's Big Bend (Austin: University of Texas Press, 1998), People's Lives: A Photographic Celebration of the Human Spirit (Austin: University of Texas Press, 2001), and The Texas Outback: Ranching on the Last Frontier: A Photographic Portrait (College Station: Texas A & M University Press, 2005).
