Description:

The collection consists 13 photographs and 1 photogravure that are primarily portraits of novelist and poet Thomas Hardy (British, 1840-1928). Two of the photographs (997:0079:0019-0020) were removed from removed from a copy of Hardy's Address Delivered by Thomas Hardy on Laying the Commemoration Stone of the New Dorchester Grammar School (Cambridge: Printed for Florence Emily Hardy at the University Press, 1927) that can be requested with call number PR 4750 A24 1927 HRC.
