HRC 24 Bible. New Testament. Gospels, ends imperfectly at John 21:28. Byzantium: between 1250 and 1300. 263 leaves: parchment, 220 x 165 mm. Written in Greek, minuscule script. Layout is 21 to 23 long lines ruled in drypoint. Decorations include red initials throughout. Binding: Bound in Byzantine binding of thin beveled wood boards covered in goatskin. Provenance: Purchased in October 1893 on the Island of Prinkipo in the Sea of Marmora by Judge A. W. Terrell, who presented the manuscript to the University of Texas on 14 August 1894; see De Ricci, University of Texas no. 1.
