HRC Leaf A18-A23 Catholic Church. Antiphonal folios. Spain: 15th-16th century. 6 folios: parchment, 777 x 557 mm. The leaves comprise a gathering of six; string remains from where this was sewn to the original binding on six cords. Written in Latin, gothic rotunda script. Layout is six long lines of text ruled in dry point alternating with square musical notation on 5-line red staves. Decoration includes six 3-line black initials and seven 3-line red initials. Foliated in a later hand, in upper right corner recto of each leaf in pen, 225r-230r. Text: (A18) "ne glorie deus enim oste[n]det splendorem suum... Irabilem in altis dominum. (A19) Ludouice dum affaris repente silent... anima eius suspiras et (A20) ingeminas o deus deus meus... Ludouicum deo charum. (A21) Dominus deus israel visita[v]it... in dos repleuit bonis (A22) et hoc beatum huc dicet omnes generationes... Dominus deus ei erat cum eo et magni- (A23) ficavit eum in excelsum...
