HRC Leaf A41 Catholic Church. Gradual leaf. Italy: 16th century? 1 leaf: paper, 412 x 295 mm. Written in Latin, gothic rotunda script. Layout is six long lines of text alternating with square musical notation on 4-line red staves. Musical notation is incomplete on recto; verso contains six 4-line red staves without notation. Text: (incipit) "Regina c[a]eli letare alleluia q[u]a que[m] meruisti porta re alleluia resurexit sic[it] dix[it] alleluia ora p[ro] nobis deu[m] alleluia." From the same sequence of folios as A36-A40, but after the Nicene Creed. According to Williford, a hymn for Matins. Provenance: Gift of H. L. Williford, 1961.
