HRC Leaf A52 Catholic Church. Antiphonal leaf. Italy: 14th-15th century. 1 leaf: parchment, 380 x 275 mm. Written in Latin, gothic southern textualis formata script. Layout is eight to ten long lines of text alternating with black square musical notation on 4-line staves ruled in lead. Decoration includes four 3-line red initials and one 4-line red initial and rubrics. Text: (beginning with initial T on recto) "Tu mandasti domine mandata tua custodire nimis...(bottom of verso) Intende voci orationis me[a]e, rex meus et Deus meus Quoniam ad te." According to an unidentified note, leaf originates from "monastery of Angliarra [?] near Arezzo." Use: Unrestricted, for either reading room or classroom use.
