Contact for Crosbie Garstin   1887-1930

The UK WATCH Office has not located a current copyright holder for the writings of Crosbie Garstin. The copyrights of his later works were renewed at the US Copyright Office by his widow Lilian Garstin, so publications since 1929, although out of copyright in the UK, remain in copyright in the USA. Manuscripts housed in the USA have been out of copyright since January 2003. Manuscripts housed in the UK, however, are still in copyright. The will of Lilian Garstin has been traced (probate London, 16 January 1973; will made 24 October 1972), and in it she bequeaths all Crosbie Garstin's copyrights to her sister-in-law Mary Dochie Alethea Garstin. The estate was formerly represented by the Sayle Agency, but they have had no dealings with the Garstin family since the 1970s and no longer have any contact information.
