Minton, Balch and CompanyThe publishing firm of Minton, Balch and Company was founded by Melville Minton and Earle H. Balch in New York in 1924. In 1930 the firm merged with G. P. In 1924 the firm was acquired by Dodd, Mead and Company. N. CoverlyNathaniel Coverly founded his publishing firm in Boston in 1770, and moved the firm around various locations, mostly in Massachusetts, until 1803. National Book CompanyThe National Book Company was founded in 1958 by Sam Moore. New Century PublishingNew Century Publishing was a division of Appleton-Century-Crofts after its purchase by Meredith Publishing Company in 1960.
