Doves Press	The Doves Press was founded by T. J. Cobden-Sanderson in 1899 and remained in his personal ownership. The Doves Press went out of existence in 1916, when Cobden-Sanderson famously threw all the firm's type into the River Thames.	2014

Drexel Biddle	The publishing firm of Drexel Biddle and Bradley was founded in Philadelphia in 1895 by Anthony Joseph Drexel Biddle and Alexander Bradley. Duell, Sloan and Pearce	The publishing firm of Duell, Sloan and Pearce was founded in New York in 1939 by C. Halliwell Duell, Samuel Sloan and Charles A. Pearce. In 1961 the firm was acquired by Meredith Publishing Company. According to 'Dictionary of Literary Biography' 46 (1986), Meredith retired Duell, Sloan and Pearce as an imprint in 1967. According to John Tebbel: 'A history of book publishing in the United States', Volume IV (1981), all rights in Duell, Sloan and Pearce titles were purchased from Meredith in 1969 by Hawthorn Books. Duffield and Green	The publishing firm of Duffield and Green began as Fox, Duffield and Company (q.v.) in New York in 1903. On the retirement of Rector Fox in 1906, the firm became known as Duffield and Company. After Horace Green became company president in 1926, the firm changed its name again to Duffield and Green.
