Fields, Osgood and CompanyFields, Osgood and Company was formed in Boston in 1868 when James T. Fields, James Ripley Osgood and John S. Clark purchased Howard Ticknor's share in Ticknor and Fields. The firm ceased to exist in 1870 when Fields retired and was replaced as a partner by Benjamin Ticknor.
