Frank Tousey	The publishing firm of Tousey and Small was founded in New York in 1876 by Frank Tousey and George G. Small. In 1879 Tousey purchased Small's share in the business and began to trade as Frank Tousey. Tousey died in 1902. In 1920 the firm was purchased by Street and Smith. Franklin Watts	Franklin Watts founded his publishing house in New York in 1942. The firm was purchased by Grolier in 1957 and then was acquired by Hachette as part of its purchase of Grolier in 1988. Frederick Muller Ltd	Frederick Muller Ltd was founded as an independent publishing house in the 1930s. The firm was purchased by Harlech Television in 1978 and sold in 1983, after which it was merged with Blond & Briggs Ltd to form Muller, Blond & White Ltd. Free Press of Glencoe	The Free Press of Glencoe was founded in 1947. In 1960-61 it was purchased by the Crowell-Collier division of the Macmillan Company of New York.
