Jerome H. Remick & Co.The music publishing firm of Jerome H. Remick & Co. was established in New York City in 1906, after the dissolution of Shapiro-Remick & Company. It later became known as the Remick Music Corporation. In 1929 the firm was purchased by Warner Brothers Pictures, and it is identified as one of the predecessor firms of Warner/Chappell Music, Inc. in the history pages of www.warnerchappell.com.2007
John Camden HottenJohn Camden Hotten ran a printing and publishing firm which published works by Rossetti, Swinburne, Whitman and others from the 1850s to the 1870s. Hotten died in 1873, and his firm was absorbed into Chatto & Windus. See the FOB entry for Chatto & Windus Ltd.2008

Jonathan Cape and Harrison SmithThe firm of Jonathan Cape and Harrison Smith was established in New York in 1929, largely but not entirely as a US publisher of Jonathan Cape's British titles. Harrison Smith left the firm in 1931, and it went out of business in 1932. "Its assets were put into receivership and were liquidated within a year." Liveright Publishing CorporationThe publishing firm of Boni and Liveright was founded in New York in 1917 by Albert Boni and Horace Liveright. In 1918 business differences between the founders led to a split and (on the flip of a coin) sole ownership of the firm passed to Liveright. In 1928 the name of the firm was changed to Horace Liveright, Inc., and in 1933 it became the Liveright Publishing Corporation. The Liveright Publishing Corporation was acquired by W. W.
