Windward House

Windward House was founded in 1933 as a publisher of trade editions for the Derrydale Press (q.v.). In 1936 Windward House was sold by Derrydale to Doubleday. See 'Dictionary of Literary Biography' 46 (1986), p. 112. See the FOB entry for Doubleday & Company, which indicates that the firm is now a division of Random House.
