Ullstein VerlagUllstein Verlag was founded by the Ullstein family in Berlin in 1903. In 1959 Ullstein Verlag was acquired by the Axel Springer group. From 2000 to 2003, Ullstein was part of the Axel Springer book division called Ullstein Heyne List. Ullstein Heyne List was broken up in 2003 and Ullstein was sold to Bonnier AB of Stockholm. Victor Gollancz LtdVictor Gollancz founded his publishing house in 1928. It was sold by his daughter Livia Gollancz to Houghton Mifflin in 1989, and then purchased by Cassell plc in 1992. Cassell in turn was purchased by Hachette in 1998, and forms part of the Orion Publishing Group within Hachette. Victor Gollancz is an imprint of Orion. The publishing side of the firm was discontinued in the late 1860s, although Leary's Book store continued for another hundred years before going out of business in 1968. W. H. & L. Collingridge LtdThe publishing firm of W. H. & L. Collingridge Ltd was founded in or before the 1840s, initially publishing religious works, but later specialising in horticulture and botany. In the 1960s the firm was purchased by Paul Hamlyn, and later became part of the Hamlyn Group and the Octopus Group. Walter Scott Publishing Co. LtdThe Newcastle-upon-Tyne printing and publishing firm of Walter Scott came into existence in 1882 when Walter Scott took over the assets of Tyne Publishing Company.
