Frederick Muller LtdFrederick Muller Ltd was founded as an independent publishing house in the 1930s. The firm was purchased by Harlech Television in 1978 and sold in 1983, after which it was merged with Blond & Briggs Ltd to form Muller, Blond & White Ltd. Gomme and MarshallThe publishing firm of Gomme and Marshall was founded in New York in 1915 by Laurence James Gomme and John J. Marshall. It was the successor firm to Vaughan and Gomme (q.v.). Marshall withdrew from the firm in 1916, and it continued as Laurence James Gomme, before Gomme closed the firm and ended his publishing career in 1917. Ivan Obolensky, Inc.The publishing firm of McDowell, Obolensky was founded in New York in 1957 by David McDowell and Ivan Obolensky. In 1960 McDowell left the firm, which continued as Ivan Obolensky, Inc. In 1967 the firm was reconstituted as Astor-Honor, Inc., publishing Astor Books and Honor Books. James Munroe and CompanyThe bookselling and publishing firm of Munroe and Nichols was founded in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts in the early 1830s by James Munroe and George Nichols. Jerome H. Remick & Co.The music publishing firm of Jerome H. Remick & Co. was established in New York City in 1906, after the dissolution of Shapiro-Remick & Company. It later became known as the Remick Music Corporation. In 1929 the firm was purchased by Warner Brothers Pictures, and it is identified as one of the predecessor firms of Warner/Chappell Music, Inc. in the history pages of www.warnerchappell.com.2007
