| Tower Books | Tower Books was an imprint of the World Publishing Company (q.v.). The imprint was introduced in 1939, mainly for books on self-help, hobbies and popular psychology. See 'Dictionary of Literary Biography' 46 (1986), pp. 386-390, and see the FOB entry for World Publishing Company, which indicates that the company name disappeared during the 1970s, when ownership of the firm was divided between Times-Mirror and William Collins. | 2008 |
| Tower Publications | Tower Publications (also known as Tower Books, but not to be confused with the imprint of the World Publishing Company) was founded in New York in 1960. In 1969 Tower Publications purchased Belmont Books. The imprints at first continued separately but from 1973 they were merged as Belmont-Tower Books.
