Writer and scholar. According to his obituary (New York Times, 10 July 2001), Charles Neider lived in Princeton, N.J. He was survived by his wife, Joan Merrick; a daughter, Susan of Princeton, N.J.; a sister, Tess Noble of Roslyn, N.Y.; and brother Mark of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
