| Description | Bata shoe factory entrance. This is 2 o'clock shift (till 10 p.m.) of 17,000 people (total employees: 30,000 people. Morning shift 60% - 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Half of factory makes shoes and prepares leather, and half makes shoe machinery (small part for own use, some for Czech, greatest part for export). There are no more of Bata family in country - factory was expropriated after war. |
