| The works in Series I. contain drafts and proofs of Salter's recently published collection of short stories, Last Night (2005), Life Is Meals: A Food Lover's Book of Days (2006), written with his wife, Kay; and There and Then: The Travel Writing of James Salter (2005). Also present are notes, drafts, and correspondence related to Salter's 2002 screenplay, The Hunters, based on his first novel; a first draft notebook for another novel/screenplay, Solo Faces (1979); and essays for GQ and Will Blythe's Why I Write. | ||
