Thomas James Wise was an English book
collector and biographer who became known for literary forgeries and stolen
documents that were resold or authenticated by him. His collection consists of
bibliographies and catalogs created by Wise and miscellaneous manuscripts and
correspondence relating to Wise’s forgeries and life.
