Scope and Contents


The collection consists of 153 photographs of and related to novelist and poet Kenneth Patchen (American, 1911-1972). Included are formal and informal portraits of Patchen and his wife, Miriam, images of their house in Old Lyme, Connecticut, and photographic reproductions of some of his prints and manuscripts. Also included is a snapshot of Patchen with Allen Ginsberg and a small album containing four photographs his home in Connecticut.
