Abstract:
The collection of British writer Ernest
Bramah (pseudonym of Ernest Bramah Smith) contains correspondence, manuscripts, and
third-party materials. Much of the Miscellaneous series is material collected by Bramah
when
he worked as secretary to British humorist Jerome K. Jerome and later as a staff member
on
the periodicals Today and The
Idler as well as for Grosvenor Press. This collection was originally cataloged
under the name Ernest Bramah Smith, but has been changed in this finding aid to the
current
preferred name form of Ernest Bramah; the previous name form remains on the small
catalog
slips filed with each item.
