The Tinker Collection includes manuscripts
chiefly related to the study of Latin American and Louisiana history. Especially
well-represented among the manuscripts and documents are New Orleans, Lafcadio Hearn,
Argentina, and gauchos. Some correspondence and personal papers of Tinker and his
family are
also present.
