Abstract: Manuscript writings, extensive correspondence, and other records reflect the many activities of the American author, editor of Century Magazine, and poet Robert Underwood Johnson. Johnson’s work with the American Copyright League, American Poets’ Ambulances in Italy, and the Italian War Relief Fund are documented, along with his conservation advocacy (Sierra Club), and his friendships with persons in a variety of fields, such as John Muir, Ignace Jan Paderewski, Tommaso Salvini, and Nikola Tesla.
