Biographical Sketch
| Anne Bascove, who uses her last name only in artistic practice, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1946. She received her B.A. from the Phiadelphia College of Art. Bascove is prolific in the areas of printmaking, painting, and illustration, and is known for her colorful and dynamic renderings of New York City's many bridges. | ||

Scope and Contents
| The Bascove Art Collection consists of drawings, woodblocks, prints, and book jackets for the cover illustrations for a novel, Aracdio, and a collection of stories, entitled Had I A Hundred Mouths, by William Goyen. These pieces were exhibited at Books & Co. in New York City for the exhibition, "Bascove: From Woodblock to Book Jacket", in March 1985. | ||
