      <head>Scope and Contents</head>
      <p>The collection consists of seven collotypes and two photographic prints from the papers of
        John and Barbara Beecher. The collotypes depict parts of the cathedrals of Chartres and
        Rouen, France, and the photographic prints are portraits of John Beecher. Further
        descriptions of some items may be available in a card catalog in the repository. An index at
        the end of this guide lists photographers whose work is featured in this file.</p>
      <p>This file forms a part of the Literary Files Photography Collection that is comprised of
        photographs and albums withdrawn from the libraries and/or papers of literary figures, and
        generally includes portraits and images collected by or of those figures.</p>
