Summary: This opera in three acts was written by Baili Du Roullet, with music by Christoph Willibald Gluck. It was directed by Herbert Graf, with settings, costumes, and lighting by Bel Geddes and choreography by Doris Humphrey and Charles Weidman. It was produced by the Philadelphia Orchestra Association under Leopold Stokowski at the Academy of Music in February 1935 (the American premiere) starring Rosa Tentoni and Joseph Bentonelli.
