Description:

Photographs and photographic albums withdrawn from the papers of literary figures and generally include portraits and images collected by those figures. Finding aids available for some files (see list below). Card index for most files; access by proper name, photographer, and collection. More than 115,000 photographs and negatives, 7,100 nitrate negatives, 500 glass negatives, and 250 slides. Time period represented 1880s to 1960s. HRHRC Library and Manuscript Division holds associated manuscript material for most and additional photographic materials for some collections.
