Description:

Photograph album containing 158 mounted and 22 loose albumen prints. Included are views of castles, churches, estates, and scenery primarily in southwest England. A number of photographs were taken at Grand Western Archery and Grand National Archery Meetings held in Weymouth, Teignmouth, Sherborne, and Bath between 1866 and 1887. Two of the photographs feature members of the Royal Toxophilite Society. Also featured are group portraits of the 1st Devon Militia in Exeter and Teignmouth that were taken between 1872 and 1888. A smaller group of photographs feature of portraits actors dressed for their roles in the play "Ticklish Times" performed at Teignmouth. Other pages feature reproductions of art works, primarily paintings of dogs.
